Welcome!

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 597! The pack serves our parish family at Ascension Catholic Church in Chesterfield, Missouri.  While we draw primarily from Ascension Catholic School, we welcome any boy who wishes to join us in our Scouting adventures and ongoing spiritual development.

Our Pack Meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of every month in the Multi-Purpose Room at Ascension Catholic School in Chesterfield, MO.  Meetings begin at 6:30 pm (premeeting activity at 6:15 pm) and generally last until 7:45 pm.  We hope you will join us for some Scouting fun!

Scouting for Food

Pack 597 will again participate in the countries largest single day food drive- Scouting for Food. This important event was started as a Boy Scout's Eagle Scout project. We will distribute the bags on November 15, 2008 and pick up the filled bags on November 22.

Why Join Scouting?

Scouting reinforces the skills and values we want our sons to learn while they're having fun.  Click the Joining Tab above for more reasons.

How do I join?

It's never too late to join Cub Scouts!  If you have a boy in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade, you can always sign up for Cub Scouts.  Simply come to one of our meetings (see the Calendar page for details).  For more information on joining us, please e-mail our Cubmaster, Paul Hoffman, at hofffam85@charter.net or contact him by phone at 636-230-8602.

Scouting is for parents, too!

Active, committed Leaders and parents are the heart and soul of a successful Pack.  You don't need to have any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life.  Volunteer to help at one of our many events; you'll be glad you did!
